Oh, I always called them "Ink monsters", didn't realise they had a proper name... I should look at the wiki more often.

^ Yah, that took me by surprised when I was enlightened to that. I used to call them ink monsters too, which seems a lot more fitting, but I think I might know why they're called searchers instead for a bit obvious reason. if they is called searcher maybe they searching for something?
