Don't be anymore ridiculous than this game already is Hrm, a valid query, GW. Though we don't yet know if that theory of ours is accurate (Joey being in the Bendy mascot suit). That Boris body did have ribs... I'm for either people trapped inside them (kinda like FNAF), or grotesque Frankenstein monsters that live on their own accord and are sustained by the ink from the machine.

^ I'd see that quicker than a FNAF effect. Don't forget, there is hints at necromancy here too.

You're just saying the same thing in different words know. And it's obvious that there has to be some sort of necromancy at play here.

no life force is like electricity and your soul be like the battery. to take your soul it be like ripping the battery out of you and putting it in the ink monster but to take some life force energy would be like taking some electrical energy from the battery to powr the ink monster

i think Bendy is a mix of characters like Mickey, Oswald, Felix the Cat, and possibly Bimbo?
but most likely his main inspiration is Mickey Mouse due to the Walt Disney/Mickey parallels between Joey Drew and Bendy. most namely Joey's book - The Illusion of Living. it's a play on the book The Illusion of Life which was a book about animation written by two of Walt Disney's best animators. it's an invaluable resource for anyone in the animation field so it's pretty significant a reference if you ask me.
there's also some classic tales of Walt Disney himself being an occultist. it's hard to find where it originates from since it seems to come from religious groups, but it's general legend that Walt Disney, the early Disney cartoons and the Disneyland parks all have occult/satanic imagery in them, somewhere.
so based on this i assume Bendy is meant to reference Mickey Mouse most of all, but he can be a general representation of early 1920s cartoons as well.

but keep in mind that bimbo and Betty boop relationship might be more similarto bendy and alice as alice was speculated to be more popular then bendy and also the studio looks rundown smiliar to the animation studio that boop and bimbo were in as walt disney put them outta buiness

that is a pretty good point.... but IS Alice more popular than Bendy? Bendy's the one with all the merchandise after all, i'm not sure if there's enough evidence to suggest Alice IS more popular. i feel like the animation studio must of gone defunct before Alice really got her time to shine (kind of hinted at by Susie's audio logs if you ask me)
i think that Bendy is mainly a play on Mickey, but with elements from characters like Bimbo so there isn't a direct parallel. he's kind of a combination of all the early cartoon stars - for instance his mischievousness resembles Oswald and Felix , his occult nature, apparent popularity and relationship to his creator resembles Mickey, Boris resembles both Goofy and Pete the Wolf, while Alice resembles Betty Boop.

I will say Bendy is based off of Felix the Cat.
Answer me this though, because I'm not a Disney person. Who is Oswald and Bimbo? I have seen quite a lot of the old black and white cartoons (I have a small collection of them and Warner Bros more modern) and I have no idea who they are. AND FELIX IS NOT DISNEY LIKE EVERYONE THINKS! *grumbles*

I have seen quite a lot of the old black and white cartoons (I have a small collection of them and Warner Bros more modern) and I have no idea who they are. AND FELIX IS NOT DISNEY LIKE EVERYONE THINKS! *grumbles* Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was Mickey's predecessor! he was created by Walt and Ub Iwerks and was their first animated character to have his own series. however when they lost the rights to Oswald, Walt created Mickey Mouse to rival him instead. he's my personal favourite early cartoon/Disney character (you can find him in Disney stores sometimes since he was returned to them in 2006), and he is a lot more mischevious than Mickey ever was. he even stars in the game Epic Mickey, which is basically about his anger towards Walt and jealously for Mickey, and how he destroys the Toon world out of this resentment. here's more infoBimbo (who's non-Disney) is a little after both Oswald and Mickey, he was a rival to Mickey Mouse. if you know Betty Boop, she was his love interest, although ultimately Betty shadowed him in popularity and became the star of her own show and arguably a cartoon icon. apparently he was written out altogether because a human and an anthropomorphic dog together was just TOO risque at the time (Betty was originally an animal so it was fine then). more info here
i think it's silly to say Bendy is based off just one of these characters, he (and the characters around him) share traits with them all. if he's a nod to early 20s-30s cartoons (and not just Disney ones!), it only makes sense he combines aspects of all of them
