NOTICE - It is important for ALL members who participate in Roleplay sessions to ALWAYS follow the RP-specific guidelines. Do remember to follow the forum rules, as well. If you break the rules, then you will receive a warning. You will continue to receive warnings if you break the rules two more times, until you start to receive punishment (which, at the worst, will result in a ban from the Roleplay section).
DO's:
- If you happen to need to talk OOC (Out of Character), then please do so in two parenthesis ["((" - "))"], have it at the top or bottom of your post (never in the middle).
- Always let others know that you are changing your location ("Location" referring to another thread, in a sense), if you happen to be doing so. Not only is this convenient for anyone else participating in your session, but it also keeps our roleplay section clean and organized. We do have a certain format for doing this, however. When notifying others that you are moving to another location, please add this to the bottom of your post:
- Obey Moderators and Administrators. If things get out of hand, then our staff will step in and get everything sorted out. To do this, however, it is important for all participating members to listen to their instructions. If you feel that what they are saying just isn't right, please notify a site administrator.
- Stay appropriate, and avoid ERP (Erotic Roleplay). Material such as this is also prohibited by the forum rules. Just don't do it, we have little tolerance for that.
- Try to take reasonable actions. Always consider the consequences when you are about to perform a risky action.
DON'T's:
- Use canon characters when creating a character. That being said, you are not allowed to create/play as any characters from the game itself. Bendy, Boris, Henry, Joey, Sammy, Alice, and any character found inside BATIM is off-limits.
- God-mod. God modding is when your character, or characters, suddenly become impossible to kill, or are able to easily kill somebody else without attempting so. This is an unacceptable behavior in practically any RP, and will result in having a mod or admin to step in. God modding will almost always result in you being warned, or ejected from the RP.
- Puppeting other characters. When we say "puppeting", we mean controlling other users characters without their consent or knowledge. This is a behavior that, like god modding, is unacceptable in all RP situations (not even mods or admins are necessarily allowed to do this). Stick with your character, and let others control their own characters as they please.
- Metagame. Metagaming is when your character knows information that they cannot even remotely be able to know. This includes reading through a user's character profile, learning all of their likes and dislikes, and having your character "know" them without the user's character ever telling you. Just. Don't. Do. It.
- Give little time for other users to respond to your actions. Always, when you perform an action, allow other users enough time to respond to it. That being said, actions that instantly-kill another character (that's unavoidable, especially) are not allowed, either.
- Mind read. This means learning information that only somebody else's character knows currently, and that they only keep it to themselves within their thoughts. This is highly similar to metagaming, and is equally unacceptable.
- Copy somebody else's character. If you happen to be browsing through the Accepted, Rejected, or Inactive characters, and decide to copy/paste somebody else's character, then prepare yourself to get rejected. Somebody may have spent a lot of time coming up with their character, and they sure as hell wouldn't want to see it be ripped by somebody who cannot be creative enough to make their own original one. All characters MUST BE OC (Original Character). This also includes copy/pasting somebody else's character profile, and modifying it a bit. Be original, and be creative, for Bendy's sake.
- Be a complete asshole. If your character tends to have this behaviour, then tone it down just a bit. Need I say more?
