Sorry if this theory has already been brought up somewhere else, but I've searched and not seen anyone else putting it forward, so maybe I'm actually the first to suggest this.
In my eager anticipation for the forthcoming release of BatDR, I was thinking about our new protagonist, Audrey, and started postulating that she might actually be the "inkified" version of Constance, from The Lost Ones novella.
I think that after Joey "rescued" Constance on the freeway, he recruited her to continue her research into perfecting the cure, and eventually sends her into The Cycle to free the Lost Ones and end The Cycle once and for all.
Thoughts?

- Constance's fate was very ambiguous at the end of The Lost Ones. The book ended with her hitching a ride, only to find out her "savior" was none other than Joey Drew himself. So what happened to her from there?
- We know from the trailers that Audrey has a new syringe-like weapon that she can use to fight the ink monsters. We also know that Constance had come very close to inventing a cure for the "ink sickness." What if this new weapon and Constance's antidote are one and the same?
